I put the switch back to 2.1 (while 5.1 in windows) and same problem, so its confirmed. I put it on 5.1, and ran GTA:SA, and it works fine even when windows is set to 5.1. I must have some how fliped the switch by accident since its under my desk. Finally, i saw a switch on the subwoofer, 2.1, 4.1 or 5.1. I double checked all connections and it was ok. I was tearing my hair out, and i was having problems with the new driver no uninstalling, so i decided to reformat my computer.Īfter the reformat, and installed the cd audio, the sound was still not working correctly with CS:S, and I was really puzzled. I did the sound test with CS:S, and it wasn't working for the rear and center speaker. So I was trying to figure out the problem with my sound. **edit #3** PROBLEM SOLVED, but I feel stupid. But, im wondering, is it a consistent bug, where EVERYONE with Audigy 2 and 5.1 speakers can't get it to work on 5.1? I believe its a bug, as users in creative forums have complained about this as well.
So, i tried disabling CTHelper in startup, rebooted and still no luck. GamerGirl, are you sure you gave me the correct link? It shows iso files of the audigy driver.
